This sleek, handcrafted 1:1.8 scale model is a lavish replica of the 500 F2, the legendary Ferrari car that raced in the World Championship in 1952 and 1953.The single-seater Alberto Ascari drove to twice bring home the drivers' world title was the second to have the new inline four-cylinder engine designed by Lampredi and made its debut at the Modena circuit on 23 September 1951. 

Thanks to the 500 F2, Ascari remains the only Italian driver to have reached the top spot twice, both times behind the wheel of a Ferrari.
